December 03, 2008 06:37 AM | Location: NJ Response: Anne was a very talented young girl. at that age, simply being to write that much. Is very impressive. Nobody can imagine the suffering of Anne Frank, living in attic with strangers and family members having to be quite for 24 hours straight. Its a shame what people could do to others. |

As we think of Thanksgiving, we can be thankful that a time like the holocaust will never be allowed to happen again, thanks to the eye-opening diary of Anne Frank. |

November 30, 2008 05:08 AM | Location: Collinsville, IL Response: Once you hear someone narrate her thoughts under the section of her diary titled, "Give", you start to realize how inferior your thoughts of giving may be. Why does she have wisdom beyond her years? Is it because such wisdom can only be found in the mind of a child? Do you remember your thoughts when you were 13? I can tell you now...if you are Christian, Muslim, Buddhist...whatever religion...Anne's words speak to all of us...kindness can be given by anyone. Anne is more of a saint than anyone I have ever heard of...but here's the humorous part...I doubt Anne would want to be recognized as a saint in any religion. At age 13 when she began her diary...she led by verbal example more than any leader I can quote other than Jesus Christ. Please do unto others as you would have them do unto you...even I will tell you that I need to follow that philosophy much greater than I do today. As a last note - if you ever see Washington, D.C....please visit the Holocaust Museum so that together, we can let others know the importance of why we feel this should never happen again...even while it is happening on the continents of Africa and Asia today. This museum is a confirmation of what you believe in...that you will never do this unto others, no matter what your earthly beliefs in humanity are. Would you want to be treated this way? Do unto others...if everyone followed this, do you think we'd have the same worldly problems today? Above all, praise God...for God is the one that gave us all life, including Anne Frank...and I think she appreciated it more than most...if I'm wrong, we should see a lot more people writing their thoughts like she did in "Give". |
