Response: I believe that Anne Frank and her family were unrightfully treated, though her diary and exciting story pulled the world into the Holocaust |

Response: I am right now reading her story and it makes me very emotional the way she and all the other Jews were treated. I hope to learn all there is to know about Anne because she was truly a wonderful person and also a very strong person mentally for what she had to endure |

Response: I first heard about Anne Frank when I was in eighth grade English class. Right now I am in my 30s. Recently I started to read my own copy of Anne's diary which I hadn't read for several years. It was after I watched the movie FREEDOM WRITERS at least six time. I drew these conclusions: One precursor to the Holocaust was the Great Depression, during which people who were unemployed were looking for somebody to blame. Secondly the Holocaust started because people disliked others before they got to know them. These following reasons are not reason enough not to give them a chance: poor appearance, lack of popularity in school or any place else, small income, unfashionable clothes, rumors heard about the person beforehand. By the way some adults are guilty as well as children for this course of action. I believe everyone should treat everybody the way one wants to be treated. That way if we all remember Anne and treat others as we want to be treated some good will have come out of the ugly business of the Holocaust. One more thing, we should be all thankful for what we have least we might lose it the next day or even the next hour. |
