Response: Anne Frank is an exceptional writer and she could have been possibly one of the greatest if she had lived. This really depicted the atrosities of the holocaust for me. Her diary perfectly depicts the way of life of the people in hiding during the horrendous period. This is one of the saddest books I have ever read, and it emotionally clung on to me. |

Response: The Diary of Anne Frank was a unique story to me; it was heart warming and really made me think. I enjoyed reading this because it shows the bond between a group of families in a time of difficult struggles. Anne Frank is someone I can relate to very much. Not only does she bring out the positive things in hard situations, but she is almost always cheerful no matter what. Without doubt, this story should be taught to all students and can teach everyone a very valuble lesson. |

Response: My class has just finished reading The Diary of Anne Frank. In my opinion, I think that the book is quite interesting, with a few boring scenes, because of the plain, childish words. The way she wrote her diary is very well-written. Even though I had heard of this book before, I did not want to read it, because I feared that it would bore me. After I read it though, I regretted not reading it before, since her diary was very suspenseful. |

Response: Anne's story was extreamly inspiring. The Holocaust was a horrible time, and to read the diary of a girl going through the pain and fear makes you realize how wonderful life is for us in the U.S. Anne writes with emotion in a fashion that most anyone can relate to. I went to the holocaust museum recently, and although it was quite interesting, I got a deeper understanding of what these people had to go through by reading The Diary of Anne Frank. The museum showed many things all jumbled together and it was hard to pick out the important things along the 2-3 hour museum tour. Anne's Diary gave focused detail in a simple way. The book was just the right length to keep my focus. I was never bored when reading The Diary of Anne Frank. This book was amazing, and if I could go back and save Anne and her family I would in a heart beat. |

Response: This story is one of the saddest story that I ever read. After reading this story, I have a much better vision of what it was like in hiding during World War 2. She is fort of like me in a way becasue I am annoying, nosy, funny, and especially loud. I have read other books on her but not from the real experience. Of all non-fiction that I have read, this book was the most striking and influential and I definitely recommend to kids of every age. |

Response: I enjoyed the Diary of Anne Frank very much while we were reading it in class. Anne is such a fun-loving girl and she was very caring and naughty at the same time. From this play, I have learned that we shouldn't judge people from where they are. We should look at who they are from the inside. Culture and religion does not matter. I enjoyed this book so much, that I almost felt as if I were Anne. The whole cast of characters, especially Mr. Frank, were also as good as Anne was. Overall, I loved this book and I wouldn't mind at all reading reading it again and again. |

Response: As an actress, reading this play made realize what it would have been like in Anne's place. I would probably never learn to sit still for such a long time. To me, Anne acomplished so much and in such a small space. She let her mind grow instead of going mad like Mr. Van Daan. This book is great. |

Response: This story, "Diary of Anne Frank" reminded me of how life is never like a fairy tale. When I reached the end of the story I almost cried because I was really hoping that Anne and peter would live through world war 2. I was so glad that Anne could still say that everyone was good at heart even when she was in hiding and couldn't play or go outside. This is such a sad and moving story that it will definitely be remembered through time. |

Response: We just finished reading The Diary of Annne Frank in my English class. We are also starting to watch the movie. I can relate to Anne, because I try to look at the good in everyone. I am starting to look at everyone now and find the best in them, because of Anne's message. It says I truly believe everyone is good at heart. She is one of the most celebrated writers, and if she were still alive, one of the most influential people. I am amazed most of all that Anne was able to stay merry and cheerful throughout her hard experiences. |

Response: "The Diary of Anne Frank" is a wonderfully moving novel. It shows the plight of an ecstastic young girl, who unfortunately is sent into hiding because she is a Jew. There were many parts of the story that I loved, especially the arguements between Mr.Dussel and Anne. It is unbelievable that a 13 year old girl can write so thoroughly, expressing thoughts that will be shared for generations. Anne Frank's diary is a one-of-a-kind read. |
