Response: After reading the play version of The Diary of Anne Frank and looking at this website, i have a much better understanding of the Holocaust and what the Jews who went into hiding were feeling. I thought it was horrible how the Jews were treated during this time. I also think that being able to read bits and pieces of a young girl's diary from this time is a great benefit. Even though we lived in completely different times, I really understand Anne and how she is feeling. |

Response: I just finished the book for a school project. this book was pretty good. I do like to learn about the holocaust and this book shows alot about it. The hiding in that attic was pretty ingenious. The fact she was arrested makes me feel sorry. There was no reason for Germans to murder 6 million jews. |

Response: This website, and the stories that Anne has written have kind of touched me. In the essay "GIVE" Anne wrote about how she wants people to say excuse me to the poor, and to not look at them as if they were dogs, and I feel that Anne is trying to tell everyone to do something that people now are too stubborn to do. I mean if people actually listened to this, it would've happened by now. Anne and I cannot relate because I so far have proven to lazy to get off my butt and do anything, where as she is trying to speak out to everyone making a message. |

Response: My class just finished reading the play version of Anne Frank during school. I would have never thought that a young girl my age could have so much opinions and so much detail in her writing as she did. This story affected me in so many ways. I realized that all kids have opinions and that the opinions and things that are going on in the world havent really changed all that much, such as the points she brought up in "Give!". Anne is someone who relates to me in a way. She is confused on what is going on in the world and the reasoning of why people do such things to other people. Anne is a truly amazing girl. She had so much wisdom and courage for her age. Being the same age as Anne i dont think that i could ever have been that strong and that confident that i could have been able to see the good in people. I would have been scared and mad at all of the people who were treating me this way. Now i can not wait until i get a chance to read the diary of Anne Frank, for she is an inspriation to people like me everywhere!!!! |

Response: The diary of Anne Frank was a good and bad story. I have to say that I was impressed that she would be able to write in a crammed area. I think this website was also very interesting because of the things that Anne left behind. Like her stories and diary entrees. I liked doing this webquiz. I thought it was a learning experience. |

Response: I think that Anne Frank was so courageous and caring that anybody could look up to her. When she writes in her diary, her words are so mature they sound as if their coming from an older person, not a 13 year old girl. The story of her life made me realize how big this world is and how important one act of kindness or bravery can change something. I can relate to Anne because she was talkative, fun, and caring. She had so much energy and never seemed to run out of steam. She lived to make other people happy, not just herself. I think Anne is very inspiring to me along with other people because she was so brave. When I first found out that so many people died, including Anne, during that time it made me so sad that people can kill each other just because of their beliefs. I loved learning about Anne Frank. |

Response: Before I read the book, I only knew a few things about Anne Frank. I knew she was a girl around my age who hid with her family during the holocaust. I hadn?t realized how much suffering she must have gone through. As I read the book and the play, I noticed how much she was forced to give up and the tragedies she experienced. When I put myself in her shoes and imagine all this horrendous stuff that went on right outside her door, I get scared. If I were Anne, I probably would break down and become weak, depressed, and hopeless. I admire Anne. She was strong, tried to make the best of her situation and remained optimistic. This website and the book have made Anne and the Holocaust more real to me which makes me feel all the pain and hurt they felt. |

Response: This book was a moving book, and I am sure if I had been Anne, I wouldn't have lived even one month with little food or fresh clothes. I learned a lot not only about this intelligent and miracualous girl, but I learned about the terrifying Germans were in the eyes of an actual Jew, not just a review or biography. I also liked it that it gave a sense of how Jews feel about the event. I, am not moved by many books any more, especially not biography books, because they do not show a great emotion of what is happening, because most of them are written by others in the present day, so they do not know the real feeling of how the Jews felt at this devastating time. But even though these awful things are happening, Anne finds a way to make herself and family and friends have happiness and hope for a better road ahead of them. I love The Diary of Anne Frank, and it changed my visual in everyway, and I hope that it does to everyone who reads it. |
