Response: I read the diary of Anne Frank when I was 13. I had read books about victims of the holocaust before but none touched me as deeply as Anne's story. When I finished I sat on my bed and cried for 2 whole hours. I?m sorry, I?m so sorry was all i could say was all I could say. The full picture of the holocaust hit me right there. How could people have let this happen I wondered? Anne opened my eyes and made me realize the suffering of the world. She also showed me that you can overcome it though. Make a difference. Anne is my hero, she showed me that there is some good left in this world and it?s worth fighting for and that there is always some good in everybody. No matter how bad it was Anne always believed. The bitter sweetness of it all is that she died at the tender age of 16. Anne inspired me to do something with my life. I am now 14 and will continue to fight for Anne and all those who died because of the of the Holocaust. I will make sure Anne is never forgotten. |

Response: I am 12 years old and I just finished the diary. It was one of the saddest things i've read. Just from when she was hiding and her sad death. I thought she should not have died. I would have gladly given my life for hers if givin the chance. |

Response: I think the book of Anne Frank is pretty good.I like the way she expresses her feelings. How she feels inside.Whats going on in her life. Its not right for people to treat people like that its suppose to be a free country. This reponse is coming from a 11 year old and I dont think its right to treat the Jews like that back then because its suppose to be a free country. If I was there right by her side I would be crying for her fighting for her.Im not Jewish but im just trying to say what I feel.I just think her writing is awesome.I wish she was alive I would love to be her friend. |

Response: At school I'm doing research on Anne Frank during my first 8:45...Doing reseach on her made me think how much the Jews struggled to survive in their own country they were born in ..It makes me really think that there might be some hope that there will be some day where everyone will get along but thats only a dream...I just hope it will happen. |

Response: The first time I read Anne's diary I was about thirteen years old, I was way to young to understand what the book actually was about. Now, at the age of 22, I read the book again and what can I say? Anne's dream was to become a famous writer, I don't think that she could imagine that her diary and her thoughts would make her a writer everyone heard about. Reading the Diary of Anne Frank made me realise, people still LIVE like Anne and her family did, like fugitives, afraid and starving. Anne didn't have any choice, she couldn't change the fact that she was Jewish and had to hide from Gestapo. But we can make sure that it never happen again, it is our responsibility! |

Response: I have been interested in Anne Frank and her remarkable life since I was a young girl. As a graduate student, I chose to study and create a picture book biography of her life. I have discovered that I am no less fascinated by Anne Frank now than I was at the age of 8. Her words, her thoughts, and her hope amidst chaos and horror are an inspiration to me in my own life. Anne Frank's story has affected and touched me deeply. Though she died so young, Anne Frank still managed to change the world in her own way. She will be remembered forever. |

Response: I'm a 15-year-old girl from China. I read Anne's Diary and I am very touched and impressed. A 15-year-old Jewish girl during the World 2nd War has really shown us the strong power of girls and of Jewish. People are equal. So we are not to fight against the others beacause they have different kind of color of skin or blood. We are all live under the same sky. We should come to united and not let the same kind of thing happen again. |

Response: I am only 12 years old and I am now reading Anne Frank and I am so surprised because most of teenagers today are so careless about their lives and Anne and the Frank family went through such statements to live their lives. I am speechless about this book that relate teen difficulties and the Holocaust.Just a wonderful book!!! |

Response: Even though I am not Jewish and have never experienced something as drastic and life-threatning as Anne did, by reading her diary I can experience what happened to her. Reading Anne Frank's diary has taught me more about how I should behave and treat other people. All the time, I worry about materialistic things such as my grades, clothes, looks, etc., but never stop to think about the things in life that truly matter. I have never stopped to consider how lucky I am to be able to do what I want, and to go where I want to go. By reading Anne's diary, I have truly been inspired, and I hope others around the world have a chance to experience the same. |

Response: The very first time I came across the Diary of Anne Frank, I was merely an eight year old girl without a single care about the Holocaust or the concentration camps. I wearily picked up the book with reluctance and flipped through the pages without much care. But as I skimmed the pages and paced through the words, I slowly began to submerge into the world of Anne Frank. I grieved with her, I cried through her hardest times and smiled at the heartwarming momments that tickled my heart with joy. I was an addict, a prisoner to her words...unable to escape or look away. Anne's entries made me realize that there are some truly amazing people out there with a pure heart. All in all, this diary has changed my heart and soul, inside out, and completely changed my way of looking at the world. I thank you Anne Frank. |
