I'm 12 years old, I remember clearly the first time that I read the book Anne Frank, as for the fact that I haven't finished reading it yet. regardless of this, I still have a prity good idea of Anne Frank's charecter and morals. After reading, or some might call it, listening to this production. I now know that Anne isn't just this Jewish girl in hideing, but somethig more, and some one that would set a example for others around the world. An example of this would be her very well thought out essay titled Give, were she stresses on what every one knows but won't do. what I mean by this is that every one knows that you should donate to charity, and give more then take, but how many peaple in this world would actuly do that. | Name: komn jalb

I am 71 years old. I'm not Jewish. I am reading Anne's Diary and about how she died. I am crying -for her, for who she was and could have been. I am crying for all of us, human beings, who could and can be so inhuman. At the same time I am strengthened and calmed by the realization that Anne has survived victorious. I think that Anne Frank, though acted like a normal person, was really much deeper than the average 13 year old, in fact she had more wisdom at the age of thirteen than most people attain in their their whole life. Give is a very true essay, and made me go, "I think so too!" it is very true. apart from give, all her stories and entries were very good. Had Anne Frank lived, I am sure she would have reached her dreams of becoming an author. | Name: nimuyk

I only thought of Anne Frank as a girl who wrote in her diary about her thoughts and feelings about being stuck in the Annex, but after i read her essay "Give!" it really showed me a whole different side to her. Now, i think of her as a role model. She is a wonderful, compassionate writer and her points are so well thought out! Anne really is an amazing person; even in the lowest of all conditions, she can still find a little light to hope for. I guess it runs in the family, her dad was a very optimistic person, so is she. After watching the little movie, it made it easier to understand the book. I now can read the book, and almost hear her words and her emotions. Anne has become who she really wanted; a person who impacts the world greatly through her little adventures in the annex. Anne Frank... the ever flickering light of hope, really inspired me. | Name: Polly

Anne should be a role model for all of us. She went thruogh many tough times, and still held her head high! Anne's thoughts and feelings were well beyond her age, and I could really feel the sincerity of her writing. | Name: Rojif Gimble

My first opportunity to read her dairy was only 4 years ago...when I was ony 19 years old and there was only adopted version available then in my country Georgia. The story, the thoughts of this young girl had a HUGE influence over my attitude towards the life and mankind. The wills of the girl, who was only 14: to live and give, to have a simpe, cloudess life with very mere events have made me understand that even they are enough to change the life into good. She has helped me know that the strong will of each individual to give, makes others think...and finally accept it as their own. The word of Anne Frank hasn't disappeared .... Yeas..she was killed...but the simple these papers have reached to us...changing our lives and maiking us think what we live for. My first oppurtunity to read "The Diary of Anne Frank" was when I was thirteen years old, the same age Anne was when she had to go into hiding. Because of this connection, I felt very touched by the book and I couldn't even come close to imagining what she had to go through. Before coming onto this website, I was not aware that Anne wrote many short stories and essays during her stay at the Annex and now, I am very sad that she did not have a chance to publish her works. | Name: Rayl Torien

My first chance to ever even read the Diary of Anne Frank was when I was 12 years old, and I had 'borrowed" my sisters book to read, since I had been bored and it was raining. Even when I was half-way through the book, I was completly quiet, and kept reading, perfectly understanding how Anne felt in here time in the Annex. Once I had finished the book, I gave it back to my sister, walked back into my room, and opened up my journal that I had not opened for 5 years, and began writing about the days events. Ever since I read the book, I now write in my journal everyday, and write short stories along the way, being encouraged to not give up on my beliefs, and now, three years since, I am now writing a novel, with a thank you to Anne Frank. | Name: Choco

I am currently reading Anne Frank's diary at age 13. Her diary is magnificent and touching to your heart. She makes us think twice about the sufferings of other people. Which person would know that her diary would be published into a huge book that would be read by practically the whole world? And come to think of it, she recorded EVERY SINGLE THING that people hiding in the Annex. Anne Frank is still living in many peoples' lives. She has made us change about the way we think about the world. |
