After I read Anne's diary, I was touched by how optimistic Anne was through the whole ordeal. Now I feel the need to try and be optimistic and not complain when little things happen, because nothing as bad as what Anne has been through will ever happen to me (hopefully). Anne is a great person who was optimistic all the way until her death. I feel Anne is a very inspirational person who deserves to be known throughout the world. |

The Diary of Anne Frank was a very touching story to me and it helped me learn a lot more about what happened in the war and what the war was all about. It made me feel a little bad to know that this was only happening 70 years ago and my grandparents had to live through knowing that there was a war. The most interesting part was the concentration camps. |

I have just finished the Diary of Anne Frank book, movie and concentration camp movie from modern day. I learned a lot about the war and it all was amusing. I was entertained and enjoyed it very much. The most interesting part was learning about what actually happened in the concentration camps. |

A couple weeks ago we finished reading and watching the Diary of Anne Frank. After reading and watching this, a bunch of emotions and thoughts filled my head.
I admire Anne for being so optimistic. Even though times were rough she had a positive look on things. So because of Anne, I've been inspired. Her and everybody else living in the Annex, reminded me of how grateful I am to have all the necessities that i posses. Thank you Anne Frank. |

I really love the book "Diary of Anne Frank". The story is very touching and it gives great detail about Anne and what she did during her 2 years of hiding in the secret annex. when thought about how Anne was locked up in the annex for 2 years without going outside for fresh air, I was shocked. For me, an hour of being locked up some place will drive me crazy. The holocast was a terrible time and throughout the story she seemed very positive. I am very glad her diary was published, it is a message for many others. |

This year my class and I read and watched movies about Anne Frank. Although both the movies and the books were very interesting, I think that everyone who has watched the movies can agree that they are unbelievably sad and depressing. I knew that the Nazis were doing horrible things to the Jews (and others), but I never imagined for things to be as bad as they had become. It is a wonder how Anne Frank, her family, the Van Daans, and Mr. Dussel got through so much without losing their spirits (at least most of them didn’t). I was very impressed with Anne. Mr. Frank wrote about Anne’s constant high spirits and how she was always crying for other people while everyone else had stopped crying for others long ago, sucked in by their own self misery. When Anne’s sister, Margot, got sick, Anne nursed her until her death, saving her food and trying to keep her comfortable. Anne had become sick too, but she still helped Margot before herself. She was so selfless. I don’t think I could have made it in the Concentration camps and stayed in hiding as long as they all had, let alone think about the welfare of others while doing so. Anne is such a wonderful role model. She may have been loud and annoying to some people, but I think I would have liked her. I’m glad that she left us these annotations of her life; it helps present-day people comprehend how out of control things had become.
Anne was always talking about wanting to become a writer and she even thought about publishing her diary when the war was over. Seeing that she never made it through the war, it’s great that Mr. Frank got it published for her. I’m sure Anne would be really proud and happy to see that she will be remembered for years to come like she had always dreamed of. Thank you, Anne, for teaching me the values of life and for always keeping a high spirit. I hope that many others grow up to be like you. |

Reading Anne's diary was extremely sad. I finally realized how terrible of a person Hitler was. This book taught me about all the terrors of the holocaust. It made me very upset and sad that millions of people had to die in such a harsh and terrible way. Thank you Anne for a great story and you will always be with us. |

I think that Anne Frank is a very inspirational human being. Because of her diary, people got a look into what the Holocaust was like and the struggles of the people in hiding. I think because of her people appreciate the little things in their life that oppressed people during the Holocaust didn't have. Furthermore, Anne was a caring and influential being to others even when she was sent to horrible concentration camps. She held on to her courage and hope longer than most did in those camps. She even did her best to take care of her sister Margot and help those around her as much as she could. My favorite part in her diary was when she stated that: "In spite of everything, I still believe that people are really good at heart." It amazes me that even though she was stuck in a cramped room with others for fear of German soldiers taking her away to death camps, she thought that there still was some good in them. Looking further into people rather than assuming they are what they seem to be on the outside is a difficult thing to do and yet somehow Anne had reached to the conclusion that everyone have good at heart! Overall, I think Anne and her diary have changed many people's views on life and I hope her story is read or told in the future. |

The Diary of Anne Frank was extremely sad and emotional. When I read this book I learned about how terrible the holocaust really was. Before this I hadn't really learned much about Hitler and all the terrible things he did, but now I want to continue to read about this. Reading Anne's diary was great and I'm very happy this was published and read by many. |

I am sad to hear that she died in Bergen-Belsen, because she was so close in surviving.She let the whole world know how cruel the "Final Solution" was, and taught me a lesson that we should give thanks for our lives. |
