I read the Diary of Anne Frank first when I was nine. I asked for the book and loved Anne's humor and writing. Then I read the afterward. That was the first time I learned of the Holocaust. I was very upset.
When I was nine, Civil Rights activity was going strong and I learned a lot from it. Anne Frank's Diary taught me a lot. Re-reading it while older teaches me more. Anne Frank's writing was probably one of the most positive influences on me.
Reading her Diary put me on the road to joining the US Holocaust Museum, Yad Vashem, and the ADL. I should contribute to other organizations that promote education and understanding, such as the Muslims.
I'm grateful my great grandparents LEFT Germany in the 1860s and I'm grateful my best friends LEFT Poland in 1938!!!
I wish FDR did something to bring the Jewish people of Europe to the USA instead of thinking of re-election & our Anti-Semitic (at the time) USA. Jan Karski risked his life to tell FDR in person & Winston Churchill. We could have done a lot more and didn't. |

As a Language Arts teacher of 7th graders, I have been having my students read a play version of the Diary of Anne Frank for over 11 years now. It is my passion to share with them this horrific event in history so that they may learn about history's mistakes and make ammends by preventing it from happening again. I can't do that alone, but with Anne's diary entries, I can help make that a reality. SHE is the great teacher. |

I cannot believe what this girl has been through. I am the same age and if I were in her position I don't think I would have the courage to go on. I cried when I read her diary I couldn't believe that is what it is like. In my school we are starting are unit on the Holocaust. We are about to visit the Holocaust museum on February 2nd but first we saw the movie Paper Clips. I felt moved and motivated to do something but that is just a fantasy... For Now! I suggested this book to everyone that I could think of who has not yet read this diary. I cannot wait to go to the museum tomorrow. Thank you Anne Frank and rest in peace. |

I had the privilege to meet Miep Gies twice in the Netherlands. What struck me most about this courageous woman was her humility. She did not view her actions as heroic but as those of someone helping her dearest friends. She wanted to be able to look at herself in the mirror and know she had done whatever she could to help others. What a positive role model she is for us all. |

I watched The Diary Of Anne Frank last night and went to bed with a very heavy heart. This family suffered terribly and they all lost their lives in the concentration camp except for her father. We are so very fortunate. There are still many, many who live are living the kind of life that she had. Truly heartbreaking. |

Anne's diary is an inspiration to all of us. It remind us of the atrocities that we can do but also about the beauty that we all can spread through simple acts of kindness. It teaches us that when we hope and act towards goodness the world becomes a better place. Do we still far from that??? |

I thought the Anne Frank lessons at school are boring but when you do research you get stuck in and keep reading it and reading it until your eyes pop!She was a great person and was unlucky to be in the war.If you are a bookworm like me you could hit the library and get some books about war and Anne Frank,you could be top of the class! |

Reading Anne Frank diary, I felt her passions and pain. She inspired me to start a journal at 17. I was so intrigued by her unique writing and the beauty of her diary. I want to use my journal to leave something behind just in case. Even though I am not much of a writer or write as great as Anne Frank, I like writing about what is happening in my past and present. Anne Frank helped me understand how thankful I should be. |

When I first read about Anne, I was in school and learning about the holocaust. I at first was bored out of my mind and then I began to see the truth behind the holocaust. It was hard to see at first how strong Anne really is. She is strong and this story really gets to your heart and your head. Everyone should read this heartfelt story. |
