I so wanted to know how she would turn out, and was shocked when I found out she had died. I wish she could have lived and shown the world how wonderful people can be. |

December 15, 2009 04:45 PM | Location: Cupertino, California Response: I read the play version of Anne's diary in my language arts class. The Holocaust was a terrible happening, and we must learn from her diary that something like that must never happen again. I am glad that Anne's dream to become a writer came true after her death; her diary had a great impact on many people who read it. |

December 15, 2009 04:45 PM | Location: Cupertino, CA Response: I thought that Anne's diary was very touching and I was very saddened when she died. She was punished when she did nothing. However, she was happy while she was alive and was grateful for everything. This is a very good lesson that she taught us and I think we should all be thankful for what we have now. I hope Anne is safe in heaven :) |

December 15, 2009 04:44 PM | Location: Cupertino, California :) Response: This emotional story shows all the unjust actions that happened during a troubled period of time in our world's history. It shocks me, still, to see all the atrocities that took place. I still wonder, why would anyone have the drive to discriminate against a certain religion and their believers? What good would come out of these acts? God Bless Anne Frank for her determination and the brave mindset she had; that is the only reason why we have this story to read today. |

December 15, 2009 04:44 PM | Location: Cupertino, California, US Response: Anne Frank was a very sad story. But, at the same time, a very true story that teaches us about the Holocaust. It teaches us about how hard life would be living in the Holocaust, and not to take life for granted. This story is liberating, and will be forever remembered. |

December 15, 2009 04:43 PM | Location: Cupertino, CA Response: Reading this diary practically pierced my heart. A girl of such positive attitude ending up being locked up and killed when it's obvious she could have used her skills to make a better world. But God had a plan for her, and I believe the plan was to have her write the truth of the Holocaust down in her diary for the future generations to read. Doing so would help remember the tragic events of the Holocaust and the pain the Jews went through. So, Anne Frank, I thank you for your diary, your thoughts, your existence, and your bravery. |

December 15, 2009 04:41 PM | Location: cupertino, ca Response: I was so deeply moved by the story and I couldn't believe that one person would want to get rid of an entire race. I thought Anne would live, but then only Mr. Frank lived. Everyone was so close to getting out if they had only held on for a few more days or weeks they would have made it out and been able to share their experiences hiding for two years and their experiences in the concentration camps. |
