and last page of her diary in which she says-"WHEN I AM QUITE EVERYBODY THINKS THAT IT IS A TRICK OR I AM PLANNING SOMETHING.I AM TRYING TO FIND A WAY TO BE ANNE I WOULD LIKE TO BE".
this page of her diary seemed as i have written it..it was very touchy moment and i cried a lot.. first time in my life i found someone who thinks just like me BUT 'IS NO MORE' :(.. that was really painful..i really wanted to meet her...but i can't ever.. now whenever i read her diary i just read the last page first then i start from beginning.. my first experience of reading the diary became the last..because i always cry when i read her diary :O

Anne Frank is only one of the stories about the war. There are so many more stories to be told. Anne Frank is one of the most brave, and inspiring young girls history has ever know. |

October 27, 2009 10:22 PM | Location: Florida Response: I first read "Diary of a Young Girl" when I was 11 or 12 years old. It inspired me to keep a diary. Anne's vocabulary encouraged me to learn. The world has missed out on a great author in Anne and Otto did a wonderful job in bringing her writings to the world. For 30 years Anne has been my hero and will continue to be for the rest of my life. Let us never forget the millions who died during the Holocaust and the literature, music, and art we've been denied due to the actions of the Nazi party and their supporters. |

October 25, 2009 11:11 AM | Location: Anchorage, AK Response: I was about 10 yrs old and that was the first book that I remember ever reading. I remember having so many questions for my mom as to why they had to do what they did. Ever since the history of the holocaust has fascinated me, and I have visited the Holocaust Museum in DC five times...in fact, that is where I am today and where I am headed. It is a very sobering experience and a good reminder of where it is we never want to go again. |

I love to front load (give them) as much background information about WWII, the holocaust, ect before they even start reading. I have used this exhibit for 4yrs and this will be my 5th. My students usually love this exhibit and really get siked about reading the play. Please keep your work up. This is how people learn. |

October 18, 2009 12:02 AM | Location: United States Response: I first read Anne's diary at age ten, and even today as an adult I am still in awe of her. I can't believe that she was able to withstand such oppression, and still keep all of her ideals. Even near the end, she still believed that everyone was 'good at heart,' during one of the most evil eras of the modern world. She faced everything with good will, dignity, and grace, and for that she will never be forgotten. |

October 15, 2009 06:03 PM | Location: Hamilton, NJ, USA Response: To become a great future, we must fix the past. Anne Frank, a young, so very young, girl, is one of those amazing people who can look at something and find the goodness in it. She looked past everything and found the small moments of laughter and happiness. As her most of her dreams were destroyed, she did succeed in one.She became a legend, a famous figure. For her determination and harrowing tale, people will always remeber the girl in hiding. As I read the Diary of Anne Frank, I realized how hard it must have been for a girl, blooming in womanhood, to be stuck inside like a caged animal. But dear Anne made the best of it, reminding us that even in the worst of times, we can always find jy if we look into ourselves. The most painful thing is if she had held on only a little longer, she may have still been alive today. My heart is somehow always with her when I'm reading, always hoping that the knock at her door wouldn't come. Sincerly, Mikaela Chianese |

October 12, 2009 05:33 PM | Location: McDonough, GA,USA Response: I was touched when I listened to Anne Frank's story, and I imagined what it would be like to live through all of that danger every day. I think that the thing that I think about the most is having to live in the secret annex every night and somtimes listen to the horrifying sound of bombs every once in a while. Right now I am reading "Anne Frank, young diarist" and I have learned so much more than I knew! when I went to the Haulocaust museam in Washington, I was almost in tears thinking about it. I enjoy learning about people with interesting stories in thier lives. Not like the stories that teachers tell you about them, that just wastes our school time and I like that! Around 2005 when I was 7 years old, I just thought that she was just some girl that lived a long, long, long time ago. Now that I am 10, I know that there is so much more than that! she is a hero from the 1940's! yours truly, *Caroline M* |
