In the course of her work, curator Susan Snyder realized the Museum’s collection included several diaries created by female slave laborers at Sömmerda, a little-known subcamp of Buchenwald. Here she shares what she learned about the women, Sömmerda, and how her discovery led to the acquisition of more of these diaries.
