Travel with Museum historians, experts, and supporters to countries of significance to Holocaust history and more recent mass atrocities. Participants enjoy special behind-the-scenes access to historical sites, museums, and cultural institutions and meet with high-level partners and government officials. Special cultural opportunities will be included throughout the trip.

Morocco (waitlist only)

Desert extension March 2–6, 2024

Immerse yourself in the vibrant culture and rich Jewish history of Morocco and visit the city that inspired the epic World War II movie Casablanca. Learn about the Jewish traditions that date back 2,000 years in this fascinating and complex region of northern Africa from local historians, community leaders, and Professor Aomar Boum, two-time Museum fellow and Maurice Amado Endowed Chair in Sephardic Studies at the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) and Faculty Fellow at the Université Internationale de Rabat, Morocco.
