The Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Center for Advanced Holocaust Studies offers the possibility of a facilitated lecture or discussion following the visit of a college or university group to the Museum’s permanent or special exhibitions. These debriefings are structured around a particular group’s needs and are led by a Museum staff member or fellow. Debriefs must be requested four to six weeks in advance due to staffing and space restrictions.
The request for a debrief does not include reserved passes to the Museum’s Permanent Exhibition. Passes must be reserved through our online ticketing system or at the museum the day of your visit. Get more information about passes.
Planning Your Trip
- You are required to obtain timed passes for your group’s entry to the Permanent Exhibition March through August. Read more about how to reserve passes.
- For college and university groups traveling to the Museum from a distance of less than 90 miles, the Mandel Center may not be able to accommodate a debrief by staff or visiting fellows during the Museum’s high season.
- Passes are not required to enter the Permanent Exhibition September through February.
- For college and university groups with flexible schedules, we strongly encourage visiting the Museum during this time.
- Our special exhibitions can be viewed without tickets anytime.
- All groups of more than 40 people must arrange their visit through Visitor Services. More information on planning a group visit can be found here.
- Please note that debriefs generally cannot be scheduled on Saturday or Sunday. Groups are welcome to visit the Museum on weekends.
- We do not rent or lend our space for use outside of Museum-run programs. No on-site parking is available at the Museum.
