Artifacts Unpacked Video Series

In August 1941, the Vogels arrived in New York. It was the end of a journey to safety that began when the family of four fled Nazi Germany in 1936.

Hans Vogel documents his family’s experiences through his diary, using photos, postcards, and hand-drawn maps to trace the family's experiences.

Discover the struggle to seek a safe haven through a teenager’s eyes.
